Admission Process & Requirements

General Admissions Requirements

At Pittsburgh Career Institute (PCI) we care about you! We want to learn more about you and about your passions and goals. Our admissions process includes not only your learning about PCI, but, just as importantly, PCI’s staff learning about you in order to help guide you along your career path.

First, you must complete a personal interview with a PCI Admissions Representative at our downtown Pittsburgh campus. Call (412) 281-2600 to schedule an appointment. During your visit, you will tour the school’s facilities, meet with faculty and staff, meet with the Career Services team, and see how PCI can help you achieve your career goals. In addition, you will review financial aid options with a Financial Aid Representative. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

PCI’s admissions requirements include:

  • Personal Interview with Admissions Representative
  • High School diploma, certificate or other acceptable proof of graduation from an institution providing secondary education, or the equivalent of such graduation. A valid institution is one that is recognized as a provider of education by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Successful background check
  • Completion of all admissions and enrollment documents
  • Entrance exam
  • Some programs may have additional Admissions requirements

At Pittsburgh Career Institute, we pride ourselves on providing a quality education. We set higher standards for our students and want them to be successful. Because our standards are higher, we utilize an entrance exam that will help us determine whether or not a student will be admitted to each program.
