Toy Donations for Jared Boxes

Feb 02 2022

The Pittsburgh Career Institute’s student ambassadors are having a toy donation drive for The Jared Box Project, this Valentine’s Day. What is a Jared box, you ask? Well, a Jared box contains small gifts, toys, games, crayons, coloring books and fun activities selected for a specific age and gender made by individuals or groups. Boxes filled with the “gift of play” are given to young patients in emergency rooms, hospital rooms, surgical centers and clinics. Children and their parents are so thankful for these boxes that showcase the importance of play and are filled with well wishes, hope and love.

So, help spread the love and help us fill these Jared boxes! Donations will be accepted until February 10. From there, the student ambassadors will arrange the boxes and deliver them on Valentine’s Day.

There will be a donation receptacle on the 1st floor and donations will also be accepted by Mrs. Slepsky and Mrs. Freiss on the 3rd floor. To learn more about The Jared Box Project, visit HERE.
